We are a value-oriented boutique firm, with a family-office like foundation and a long term orientation
We have a small but committed capital base that shares the same investing principles and time-frame as we do. In addition, we focus our efforts exclusively on building a concentrated portfolio of high-quality, value priced businesses.
As Ben Graham said, markets are here to serve us, not the other way around
We´ll pass on opportunities whenever we can’t understand a business or if the stock doesn’t meet our return requirements.
We are businesses analysts not financial analysts
Unlike most of we strive to understand business models, not building financial models. We dedicate resources to try and understand a business, how it makes money, and if it shield of competition. We take no pride in creating complex DCF financial models.
We focus on where fundamentals are headed not narratives
We want to be shareholders of companies whose cash flow earnings power is likely to be higher a few years ahead and whose stocks we would be happy to own if the stock market were to remain closed for years. Also, a great company, with an exciting narrative can be a bad investment, if the price is not right.
We feel no pressure to gather assets
Our philosophy requires patience and discipline and we would rather sacrifice growth instead of quality and our principles.
We eat our own cooking
The same way we like to invest in management teams who have skin in the game, we also tie up a great portion of our net worth in our funds.
